For all my Macbooks Airs and Pros, I've always used these snap-on cases and never had any issues. I don't stick to one brand though. I get whatever I feel is good so can't say this one or any other one would be issues but from my own personal experience, I've never had any issues with snap on cases ever. The snap-on case usually has cracks on the corners after a while though but I do just toss my MacBooks around like they're paperweights lol
Apple sells this exact same one. If there is a track record for cases breaking Mac screens, they wouldn't be sold every where. Better case is for camera peep blockers. Those will break screens.
Sleeves are better. These can cause overheating issues
This was my concern. When gaming or doing anything GPU intensive my M1Pro gets warm and that aluminum shell is designed to dissipate heat. The plastic shell is going to act to insulate that heat in. Seems like a bad idea if you push the GPU.
Snap on cases have had a track record of breaking the glass screen on the macbook, near the hinge, as it wasn't designed to have anything attached to it while closed (causing pressure in that one spot).
But hey, it's your money.
Really? I was a Mac Tech for many years and never saw that. I guess you learn something new everyday.
That sleeve is massively overpriced relative to Amazon options. I'd never use one of those hard shell cases. If apple wanted you to use one they'd sell one themselves. Can't be good for the device

Not true. I've had snap-on cases on many of my MacBooks and never had one crack a screen. If you are going to say stuff like this, you should provide links.
Edit: Who downvotes a comment asking for links to back up claims? Or, are they saying my screens broke, and somehow they know it and I don't? Some real dumb shits on SD these days!

on r/macbook it's almost like a cult they rush to people's post post shit like "take off your screen protector! take off your keyboard cover!! take off your case!!! it breaks the screen and make hinge loose!" It's so stupid it's almost funny. You can't scroll more than 2 times before you see someone say those shit.

Users are breaking screens, not the cases…

My point is, they profit from the sale of the device, from the warranty service, and from accessories that have the potential to damage said device.
