Because the Concept2 stays true to the concept of actual rowing, but using air instead of water to create resistance. The flywheel makes it feel like you're actually rowing on water.

Magnetic resistance just doesn't work right because of how it naturally is, and will never translate to real-world rowing techniques, which means you might possibly miss out on muscle parts you actually build up when rowing correctly, which then leads to injury due to imbalance.

Plus, C2 machines are solid and support is great. If they ever break, parts are always available from the manufacturer for cheap (most of the time they also cover it outside of warranty!).

Resale value is amazing, I keep seeing them at 80-90% of the original sale price at OfferUp or Craigslist.

Bought it during COVID would pay to get rid of it now. Moving it, folding it, storing it are damn near impossible
