Incorrect. You have to click on Compare on Sellers to avoid the scam seller.

You may be thinking "oh great, another printer that's so cheap the ink costs more than the printer itself!" but please get that thought out of your mind!

You'll be lucky if this printer remains functional long enough to get through the cartridges it comes with, and then when it does die in a few months just send it off to the ole landfill and buy another $40 printer.

inkjet printer is not for you if you don't have a very specific need (like regular photo printing). It is not friendly to the enviroment and your wallet.

Neat, another shilled deal by SD staff that's actually not a good deal at all. If you burned your money and used it as ink pigment it would still be a better deal than this printer.

Had this printer for years. Works fine. I brought an ink syringe kit from Amazon. Paid 10 dollars for it, should fill up the cartridge a few times over. Great for college

Your hypothesis is Based on what exactly? Nothing?

I have a pixma that cost $40 that is 8 years old.
In my experience, the cost of the printer has had little to do with how long it lasts. I've had $200 printers fail within 2 years (right outside the warranty period).

But, nearly every inkjet I've ever owned has lasted long enough for the inevitable question to arise, as stated in your first paragraph "how do I go around this scam." That question has been satisfactorily answered -2 ink bottles ago.

Have this printer. Ink dries out quick. Just remove cartridge and store it in packaging if not being used to prolong ink life.

Based on my personal experience of 2 PIXMA printers I've owned. They're disposable garbage.
