Listing says: Our PREMIUM SSD comes with a separate heat-spreader. Users are required to manually apply the heat-spreader to the drive. Please note once the heat-spreader is attached to the drive, it is not possible to remove it.

ADATA Warranty support is the WORST I have ever experienced from any vendor in my 20 years of IT. I sent a drive in for RMA/warranty work and at first everything seemed fine. They stopped communicating with me after a month, they don't answer their phones, social media accounts, or emails. Suddenly after nearly 3 months I receive a replacement drive, wrapped in post office padded envelops like an Ebay purchase... Mind you this was the 2nd drive of theirs I bought. The first died just like this one, after about 6 months of just gaming use, and I did the ol Amazon swaparoo. The 2nd failure I played ball and went through what turned out to be the most miserable warranty process ever.

Now if I can find a ps5 deal.
You're not on this site much, are you? For the last week, there was a deal for the God of War bundle for $504 (normally $560). It's dead now.

Just need a console, don't want any bundle.
They're not going to do sales on just the console, like Microsoft does, because the PS5 sells really well at full price.

Wow, that sounds pretty bad and is exactly the kind of thing I'd like to avoid for the rest of my life. I hate that these kind of experiences basically force me to make all my purchases through Amazon, Costco, and Sam's. Amazon returns are just so easy that it just isn't worth buying elsewhere if it means you might have to go through this crap.

I've seen this brand for years, but don't think I've owned anything from them other than maybe a flash drive, so thank you for sharing your experience.

I am in the RMA process right now, and it is really bad. Very difficult to track the process or even reply within their portal to the case/RMA instance. No direct communication and all I've been able to squeeze out of them is that they allegedly haven't received my drive even though USPS tracking indicates it was delivered to the front desk at the address they had me send it to. This has been going on since late December.

I will never buy another ADATA product.

My SSD has been in their possession for RMA since mid January and I am still waiting for the replacement to ship. Life is too short to buy any ADATA product.

Never buy chip hard drives. Save your money and time. For my tech experience - never returned (to are's rma) brands - Samsung, Hynix, WD, PNY and Kingston (surprise).
