I will leave this here, no need to flash firmware, you can use that docker image to enable RTSP on these devices, been using this in my apartment for the past 6 months, no issues at all, I record everything in my Synology NAS

They also have the window mounts for $5 each if you order 2+.

These help a lot if using for security camera from inside the house.

Available in my area for pickup but as soon as you try to ship to home, it doubles in price so YMMV

Can the firmware be flashed on these to remove the cloud element for local LAN / RTSP streaming only? I'm looking but not finding anything definitive just yet..
There is RTSP firmware out there. Wyze app is such a mush mash of their products these days best to use tinycam pro or RTSP to your choice software. Firmware is standard across v3's either because if a giant f up they still haven't fixed and some other ongoing bugs always with a fix "coming soon". Pretty ready to go the RTSP route myself but not sure what I would use on iOS for quick viewing feeds.

no need to flash anything just add a sdcard
to me it's worth the $20 a year for the cloud service for 2 cams
They have or had a promo for $7.99/mo unlimited cams. I did that since I have I think 14 or so. About to add another 6 thanks to this deal.

Peace of mind with the house under construction, able to see all the blind spots.

Get more than you think you need, take back what you decide you don't need after the fact.

I bought 3 packs the first time to see if I liked Wyze. Liked them enough. Now about to have 20. 😆

I don't think there is such thing as having too many. I have about 20 Wyze cams across two locations, mostly v2 but one v3 and I have several new v3's in-box I will be installing soon.

They are overall pretty good, although I recently got burnt when a bad v2 firmware was pushed out that bricked all of my cams. I had to re-flash each cam back to an older firmware in order to get them back online.

No you can load with a micro SD card (use high endurance) and will record to that locally.

I have 128gb high endurance cards in mine and no issues.

The HD website says: "This item is only returnable in store." Is that true if you ship to home? I don't want to have to trudge to Home Depot to return this if it doesn't work.
