Solidigm P41 Plus SSD Review: Born in the Purple (Updated)

Performance data for the 2GB varient on page 3.

Summary:
The 2TB Solidigm P41 Plus is a competent first effort that yields a capable mid-range PCIe 4.0 SSD built on QLC. The hybrid cache and strong support make it attractive, especially as it runs cool, but the market is crowded and its performance is largely average. If priced right, it's a good budget primary SSD.

I knew this had to be coming when I bought it for $100 a few weeks ago.

Before anyone asks...this wouldn't be a good drive for the PS5. Read speeds are below what they recommend
This gets repeated every time, but people who have it say it works fine. I have no personal experience with PS5 but my understanding is that a PCIe 4.0 drive is the main requirement.

I'd throw in there there's a 800 TBW. Sk Hynix bought Intel's SSD/NAND division years ago and this brand is their new company. Decent drive

It works. Its read speeds are the same as the WD SN750 SE I had in it. It may be a second or two slower than others but for $110 (What I paid for it) I'll live.

Still I overpriced for shitty QLC ssd. The Teamgroup 2TB TLC is only $89 along with a couple of other companies. Since this is QLC this should be $69 or less especially when there is a massive oversupply of DRAM and NAND memory right now.
Link? I see SATA or PCIe Gen3 drives around that price but that's not the same thing.

Have 2 of these in my PS5s and have had zero issues, other than paying around $110 each a few months back. Using them with these heatsinks:

M.2 heatsink ssd with Thermal Silicone pad for PC / PS5 M.2 PCIE NVMe 2280 SSD (2PCS) https://a.co/d/99fH8Kb

Seems they're no longer available from Amazon, but there are a bunch of other similar ones to choose from.
