How did I never hear about this game? It looks like a better version of Ace of Spades. Has anyone tried it and what are your thoughts?

I'd never heard of Ace of Spades (admittedly, I've been out of gaming a while). I looked it up, but it doesn't look like Steam has it anymore. What happened to it?

According to price trackers, this game didn't go free until this month. It was never free before that, EVER.

GG Deals shows it as NEVER going free. Anyone can look it up, rather than looking at a picture. They have the entire price history, as everyone here knows.
