Isn't that essentially what a consumer is and why the ultra-rich are such a drain on the economy? The whole point of capitalism is for you to keep spending money.

You aren't protesting by not buying re-released/rehashed media, you're simply diverting your funds elsewhere. And elsewhere it will go, because it's not significant enough to invest or put into savings. This might sound bleak, but it's the reality capitalism has created.

And it's not like physical media can save you from this forever. Eventually, consoles develop bad capacitors or the disc readers die. DVDs have a shelf life. Cartridge batteries and their flash memory also go bad.

Luckily, even a smartphone can emulate N64 and GameCube with high resolution upscaling these days.

It was dumb they delisted the digital version. I understand they want to promote Mario 64 on the NSO Expansion subscription, but Sunshine and Galaxy aren't playable there.
