Does the new case still require industrial strength grip and protection to remove bits?
Good deal considering the 3-1/2" P2 bits are $7.50 for a 2-pack and this includes 3 P2's and 8 others of that length.

Regarding the bit deathgrip by the old cases I remove everything and spray the holders down with dry-teflon, helps a lawt.

I would recommend checking at local HD for even better deals. My local one has this 120 piece for $23 https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../320281460
What I liked about this one is that it included Hex and Star bits as well as most used drill bits. There was also 100 piece one for $15 instead of $20 but can't seem to locate it online right now.

That's because that set includes the old style cases instead of the newer style cases.

The bit sets the OP posted come with the new style customizable packout cases.

These new cases now fit snuggly into the packout organizers. The cases in the sets you posted do not.

No, the new style holders all allow the bits to be tilted out the side... instead of having to pull them up and out... the new style holders are much easier to get the bits out.

Yeah the (probably) old set that I have requires a breaker bar to tilt the shelf out, and then a good set of vice grips and a blood sacrifice of 4 sliced open knuckles to pull one bit out, then you start all over again because you pulled one size up or down from what you needed

I think this deal is better than that one. This includes the new cases: the clear face is a nice addition, but more importantly, the time and frustration savings for pulling bits out is priceless.

I'm not sure about the size thing since I don't use pack out boxes anyways but the way bits come out is the same. On the one I linked they get raised upward as a whole row and then you take them out by pulling, exactly same as OP linked since even edges for rows have same slots for keeping rows in. Majority of my bits I keep in Dewalt cases anyways that have clear top half's and interlock with each other. For myself I get them mainly as "refills" rather than casing since there's multiple different systems out there anyways but each can decide what he likes better and go for that.

The 100 piece seems to have longer bits for Phillips bits. Also carries 1 7/8 bits.
The 120 has less longer bits, no 1/7/8 bits but more Hex bits.
