last year i did this, got the miles, im starting on the second year and i've paid the annual fee for year 2. when is the right time to cancel or demote this card?
While buying a ticket from Delta, I received an offer pop-up during the checkout flow for $400 off Delta tickets purchased in the next 6 months, plus 50k points after $3k spend on a new Amex Delta Gold card. Worth checking out, since I think it's a better value offer.
What route triggered this offer? I can only find $300 & 50K. A few years ago, there was a 70K & $200 offer and 90k. I've been waiting on that to return.

I was booking SEA->LIH at the time. One way, cash booking.
I went to Delta to signup for the skymiles before hand and it has the amex signup at the bottom and its offering 80k points same deal so an extra 10k points to do it thru the delta site
edit its for the business version of the card
I was able to churn it only when I received an upgrade offer. I believe mail offer can works too.
Usually upgrade offer is much less .
This happened to my daughter several years ago. About two years after receiving the Delta Amex bonus, she received a mail offer that was not restricted. The offer on the website gave more miles, but when she tried that she got the pop up that she was not eligible; then she used the direct link from the mailer and was able to get a second bonus in a relatively short time.

For me I had delta gold like 5+ plus year ago and was downgraded to a blue fly or blue delta. I received an email offer to upgrade back to delta gold for $200 statement credit and 20-30k miles.

Is anyone seeing anything like these now? All I'm getting is 30K + $200. Tried different routes. Are there any other ways to try to get the better offers to show up while booking?
Alternatively, does anyone know if referrals can trigger these offers, with the cash statement credit?

I now see only that lower offer, including if I try loading a flight in an incognito window. Looks like they've just lowered the offer for the time being.

Amex site on incognito shows 60k miles after spending 2k in the first 6 months. For the gold with 0 fees first year then 99. I'm looking for 70 or 75k miles build up for next year trip.
