If you are in a region that has Uber eats I highly suggest comparing them to door dash. In north Dallas they are dramatically cheaper. Door dash does big markups on the food around here compared to Uber eats for some reason. Also Uber eats customer service is much better

Considering that on average DoorDash has 20% on menu prices, what is the point of trying to save $5 going through DD, when you can call the restaurant directly and place your order for takeout.

Also, don't forget DoorDash also charges the restaurant about 20% commission on orders placed through their portal.. so even if this $5 coupon makes it even for us placing the order, Doordash is still making $ from the restaurant. Helps the restaurant especially a mom&pop place to order directly.

True, I do too, but the prices are often more than 5% higher than ordering directly, so it usually only makes sense when there's a deal like this.

Not in my memory and almost always on delivery orders which adds lots of extra fees which does not make it worth the coupon.

$5 off $15 is 33%, so it's a deal as long as it's a small order.
