Problem I've found is that most people who are looking to buy a gaming pc for $500 aren't educated on the market or the components involved in creating the system. Typically it's a parent who is relying on the sellers advertisment and every scumbag in our world knows that. Which is why there's still a huge stigma about gaming pcs being way too expensive etc…. The shiftiest scumbags in our world prey on that level of consumer because they have no qualms about being complete trash.
I used to do a lot of budget builds, which is how I built my reputation in my community and know am doing mainly high end builds for returning clients/word of mouth all one on one…I almost fell victim to a scammer with my first pc 6yrs ago and by happenstance stumbled on a way better deal that 100% influenced my entire perspective on what is know the most important area of my life outside of my family…

Just fair warning, the price dropped for both the RE2 and RE3 remakes really quick, they were about $25-$30 in something like six months. So if you're looking for a deal (especially the console versions) it might be better to wait

Hogwarts Legacy is terribly optimized, even with a 4090. Based on the RE2-3 remakes and RE8, I'd say give Capcom some credit on their optimization. It's possible Day 1 release will need a patch, but that's very common and will most likely be resolved quickly. Of course, this is all speculation based on my experience, so, I'll say the PS5 is the safest option. If you want to play with a controller rather than KB/M, go for it.

Edit: I'm an idiot and just saw hw1234's comment about the PSVR2. It completely slipped my mind that it existed, so if you own, or plan to own, the VR headset I'd recommend that route (PS5).

I'm definitely playing on PSVR2. RE7 is insane on PSVR! This has to be better.

thats just devs being shit on pc. elden rings took a bit to get fixed too. this should be good based on the last three re games released. they already have a patch for the rain that was messing up the game on the steam servers
