Average everything except for decent range, but for $75 a good pickup for internet speeds under 1gig. Linksys is not good at anything anymore but switches, their other products are never worth their MSRP and are average at best in just about every category.

I own this router. It's ok. Picked mine up for $100 and then bought a couple $40 MR7350 child nodes to make a mesh on three stories. Haven't had any issues with it and everything works.

Basically, if your download speed doesn't match what your ISP sells you, assuming the modem is capable, then you should upgrade your router.

Seems like a reasonable deal; but as far as I can tell it doesn't support OpenVPN which is a deal breaker for me......

I will say it is basic at best. I used it for a year and did have some intermittent issues that were not from the isp or the modem. It's a basic router with limited functionality compared to some like Asus. In the end it started restarting randomly, and my devices had random connection issues. It was fully updated.

In the end I swapped it for a better Asus model, and have had zero issues since. Not bad if I was on a low budget, but expect it to be what it is for what you pay.

I can tell you it does not. The firmware is the most limited I've ever seen. And no open source firmware that I am aware of is available to expand functionality.

I had a WiFi 5 and it was having troubles even as a mesh system. I upgraded the main router to WiFi 6 and the change was immediately noticeable. There was more stability and range. It is worth the upgrade if you are experiencing an unstable network.

Excellent deal at this price point. Even at $100 from my research.

It's got beefy hardware (look at prices of other ax6000 routers) with very good coverage and actual network throughput in my experience. I had issues with my previous router not getting to the garage door opener, as well as throughput for moving large files over the network. This definitely solved that problem

If you aren't the type of person to need to upgrade your routers firmware this is a super deal, should cover the majority of houses without spending $200+

I was thinking about buying the tp link ax3000 for 100 bucks at Walmart. Would I be better off saving 20 bucks goin with this Linksys deal?

My previous system was an single Linksys router with DDWRT in a small 1 story house so this was a big hardware upgrade to mesh and wifi6 but software is meh. It handles all my smart home devices well, but I do get a little frustrated with how it chooses which node a device connects to and finding stuff in the WebUI.

Ya. Just ok. The mesh works and haven't had any serious issues but don't understand why it'll have a device connect to the other side of the house when one closer has a stronger signal. I like how it's only one Wifi network and router will auto choose 2.4ghz or 5ghz. Easier to explain to my family and friends to connect. My home internet is only 200mbps so it works for my family's needs.
