Decent deal considering Prime delivery. $800 on Prusa site, then shipping, then customs, and I would say that using Amazon is better, but there is sales tax. This is the kit so you have to build it...

At this point it's a hard sell to grab a Prusa MK3S+ versus, say, a Bambu P1P at $699. Prusa needs to make a leap forward from this (relatively) ancient design to compete going forward.
Not sure about buying this from a random 3rd party reseller. Likely to get a counterfeit or clone and not the real thing. Can probably get a clone for much cheaper if that is what you are looking for.

Looks like it was switched to a cheaper seller. The link should go to Amazon now

Technology has moved on. Ankermate m5, Flsun v400, either Bambu All run 3x faster for most prints with good quality, easy assembly, quality hardware.
Prusa is nice but I suggest to people Bambu because it's so much nicer for about the same price. And you usually don't need to block off a few hours for assembly.

Bambu might be better but it's still a closed system that relies on open source projects that they've had to have their arms twisted to honor the open source licenses. With PRUSA you're paying for the years of refinement and open system. The printers and the company are not going to disappear overnight. You pay for reliability and ongoing support.
Going to repeat the sentiment of others. if you are spending this kind of money get a Bambu lab p1p for $700. It's 2-5x faster than a this with a larger build volume and you have the option of adding an AMS to manage multi color.
If you spend a little more you can get a Bambu Lab X1($1000) or X1C($1200) with enclosure and even more features.
Prusa charging $850+ and you still have to build it is laughable in 2023.

But Prusa printers are a lot more flexible when it comes to parts/mods. And you can easily add functionality that Bambu is offering (except for the LIDAR first layer scanner).
When using a Raspberry PI, you can add camera and using Octroprint with lots of plugins.

I personally enjoyed the assembly. If anything goes wrong with my prusa I know exactly how to fix it.
Some quick things I like about prusa
Standard e3d v6 nozzles that are easy to change and easy to find.
Prusaslicer, no cloud needed, 2.6 (alpha) is awesome with organic supports.
Ability to mod/fix easily, like changing the hotend entirely to e3d revo if you wanted and lots of other things. The mods go on forever.
My prints are always fantastic, PLA or PETG,
The bambu does look nice and it is cheaper but I'm not convinced it's better maybe on par. I know someone with an ankermate m5 and they had to slow their prints down to get higher quality prints so faster isn't always better. All the "features" it has aren't ones that would have gotten me better prints and at the end of the day that's what I want and the prusa delivers. Maybe one day I'll be convinced but if someone broke in and stole my prusa today I'd buy another one.

As has been mentioned already, a Bambu is dramatically better at a cheaper point

What specifically about the Bambu is better? It's cheaper and doesn't require assembly, but would it be considered an upgrade from the prusa for any substantial reason?

Prusa is still the king of open source printers. I can find genuine E3D replacement hotend parts locally from a few sources. The firmware updates, consistent slicer improvements, and overall support of the hardware makes it worth the extra money.

This is from Amazon. Buy direct for less and support the platform more by preventing Amazon from taking their cut. Just my 0.2c being a prusa owner.
Great kits, lots of fun to assemble and then all the things you can print and create.
