1TB Leven's SATA III NVME's are $43.99 on Amazon. I've been looking out for a cheap NVME for a couple of weeks, so $45 seems like a decent price right now. Maybe not from new egg, though. laugh out loud

It's cheaper but I don't think it's cheap enough since you can get other dated drives with more TBW and speed for a bit more. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08KGXK4Z6/

PCIe SSD will be cheaper, yes. Though this is SATA and unfortunately it's becoming less common for those who still need these on older devices.

This^. SATA m.2 drives are becoming less common. 2.5" SATA drives are still everywhere, but these drives are harder to find at a discount. I've got a budget 11th gen Intel laptop I use sometimes that only has two SATA III m.2 slots (no NVME), so I went ahead and grabbed one.
