unfortunately there is no competition to this Quicken product
while there are many other options, none can do One Step Update to download from the most Finance institutions transactions.
the best those options can do manual import of exported to a file transactions.

the last competitor was MS Money.
if you aware of good substitution for Quicken, pls share

as there is no competition Quicken remains in old MS DOS interface and implementation make it run slow

there are also many Customers requests to accommodate 401k Roth and other functionality for tracking and planning for many years with not much progress

but, I'm not aware of good alternative yet, so I pay yearly subscription and like those deals sove money

Extend

A membership can only be extended in the last six months of a subscription term. You can extend a subscription term by redeeming an activation code in a retail copy. However, this also can only be done in the last six months of your current subscription term. Therefore, multiple terms cannot be purchased and used at once to extend a membership. Retail purchases: Activation codes expire 24 months after being generated.
If you have a few accounts eg; I have 401k, multiple investment accounts, saving accounts, heloc / mtg, bonds, car and truck payments. In addition two rental properties with tenants, and a few 1099 contract incomes. Personal loans I've issued to people..

No other software allows me to budget, predict cash flow, setup tenant reminders and of course reports all in a single place. I can search for transactions on credit cards (personal, business and consulting) for different transactions. I can create budgets and scenarios of what ifs.

I purchase a decent amount of landscaping. The guy I deal with had some issues and asked for a check. I wrote a check, and a few months later I returned to get more landscaping. The guy informed me he lost the check. I logged into quicken, did a search for the transaction against all my accounts. I zelled him the past due plus the current balance.

When I do taxes I can easily search each property or business for expenses that I forgot about throughout the year. It's not required for everyone, but I use the reporting a lot. Weekly to see where I'm spending on budgets where im losing the most, and how to predict cash flow.

If you mean "Is this product good for extending my current Quicken subscription?", then the answer is yes.

I seem to recall paying about $24 for a Deluxe renewable about a year ago. I will wait for a lower price.

Go for it. My subscription expires in a few weeks and I can't wait for the better deal.

Best I saw (according to the scribbled post it note on my monitor) was $29 so this is likely the best price with some inflation thrown in.

I agree. $2 more than I paid in May 2022 after waiting several months for the lowest price.

Lowest I paid last yr (3/15/2022) for Home and Business was $53.49 after tax and discounts. Seems they raised prices. Ill bitch about the price, but there really is nothing better.

Be careful when paying. When I chose Apple Pay, it removed the coupon. When I chose PayPal, it worked fine.

My subscription expired last week. I called quicken 2 years ago and got them to give me a deal on 2 years because that was what i was used to purchasing. Seeing as it says you can only extend the last 6 months does that mean if i purchase the limit of 2 i cant use the 2nd one for 6 months? If so dp these have expiration dates? Thanks

It is available as download, but if you're renewing your subscription, you NEED the boxed version. The download is for new subscribers only.

They do have expiration dates. In theory, you could buy two and hold onto the second for six months. But the codes supposedly expire after 24 months and you don't know when it was generated. Likely fairly recently since Newegg sells a lot of products, but you never know.

I found a seller via Google Shopping who I was not familiar with selling it for under $25, but it wasn't clear how current the product was and whether the code was fresh. I emailed them but did not hear back.
