Photos look nice but plastic sheds always look like ass after baking through a few summers.

Shipping containers can! I've got a 40 ft high cube that I've never had a critter of any kind get into.

Juat finished building it. Took 2 evenings and a six pack, by myself.
Overal good quality.
Arrived in 2 giant heavy boxes on a double pallet.

Somebody asked earlier- door is not sealed in any way, its a hanging slider.
So do you recommend or do you regret not getting one with a swinging door?

I would have bought this, but we have an 8' fence and for anything above 8,' and visible we need to get permission from the City and HOA. It's a PITA.
hahahahaha.. you need permission... muahahaha...

Never buy a pvc / plastic shed. Sun destroys them.

couldn't you build one yourself for less than this (assuming you're fairly handy...)?

Metal doesn't warp from sun and rain. So not sure how a metal one could be worse
It does rust though. No idea how old the one was that came with my last house, but the hardware at the bottom apparently rusted, and when we had a big wind storm the whole thing ripped off the ground and flipped over. Fortunately it was enough metal that someone removed it for free for the scrap.

Perhaps. But would the savings really amount to enough to make up for all the work? You can get this delivered and have it up in a day. Actually building a shed takes more planning, more work, a way to acquire the materials, etc. I'm pretty frugal and usually do things myself if I can rather than pay anyone, but after seeing what's involved I'm not building a shed from scratch to save a couple/few hundred dollars. When I'm ready to pull the trigger I'll probably spend a more and buy a bigger wood frame one that's delivered whole or finished on site. Looking for a small workshop space more so than a garden tool shed.

Don't see how a sliding door saves space vs. one that opens out. Seems like the track would prob. be a pain in the ass more than anything…

Never had one but metal can at least be painted
Have you tried painting a plastic one or have thoughts on if that's a bad idea? Thank you so much.

Our polymer shed has lasted great in texas heat
What's wrong with the metal ones? I've got a wooden one that's full and I'm thinking about getting a metal one for $400 just to keep the yard tools in? I'm in north Texas.

Not a terrible price, but at some point you're better off getting a shipping container with doors on the side.
