One of the best Lovecraft adaptations committed to film, expands on the story nicely while being quite a spectacle unto itself. Then there is Cage. Who is peak Cage in this film.

The 4K version of this was such a wasted opportunity. It's such a colorful movie and they didn't bother doing HDR.

Annihilation is based on the Southern Reach trilogy. Similar themes, very Lovecraftian likely inspired by the story but not directly based on any of those works directly.
