Is it an "expansion" because you're expected to buy all the sets to make a level or something? Never looked into actually buying the Mario sets... But hey tomorrow is National Mario day.
My 5 year old daughter says thank you. Got her the Peach starter course last Christmas, and she has been addicted ever since. These expansions are high quality and not cheap lol, I am out a couple bills just from a Cat Peach Frozen Tower and Peach Castle expansion set, so any discounts are welcome

There are three "starter" sets to choose from - Peach (newest and probably best), Mario, and Luigi. One needs one of those to play the 'game' with the other sets.
One could just buy expansion sets, build them, and display them without having the starter set to play with.
