I feel like physical is usually easier to find a sale on, for some reason.
Most of our most-played games (Mario Kart, Mario Odyssey, Luigi's Mansion, Bowser's Fury) we have the physical version and I regret that every time I have to change cartridges.

Buy physical for same price at most retailers right now.

Digital copies cant be transferred. Nintendo would love this.
They can sell more copies to consumers with this type of restriction.
It's cheaper to distribute for them too. But if physical copies weren't available
they can price them however they want.
Those are pros and cons but it's up to the consumers' preference to go digital vs physical.
It's only games but it's better to buy physical copies for the consumer economy.

Where are the Nintendo Selects?! All these games should be way cheaper as they are either glorified ports or fairly old by now!
Well all of their Switch games seem to have sold very well for the most part regardless and some are fairly evergreen. I suspect that's why we haven't seen the Nintendo Selects line reintroduced. Perhaps it'll happen at some point..... but who knows.

A few years ago I sold most of my NES and SNES games that I'd had since they came out.
I've never sold anything for the newer systems, and everything I have for the Switch I bought new.
Resale value isn't an issue for me. Convenience is.

Even more reason for bringing back the "Nintendo Selects" catalog.
I love Mario and Zelda games but it seems like Nintendo gets greedier witch each generation.

Be careful for die hard physical copy pursuers. I got berated yesterday in SD for losing my switch and saying that digital has it's upsides. I just bought a used switch and re-downloaded all the games.

Well if the games have been selling like gangbusters regardless then there isn't really a strong impetus for them to do it. That's just economics and the business reality whether you like it or not. And as far as I see it seems even less likely to happen what with them recently reintroducing the digital game voucher program in North America for example.

Mario Kart will be in Wave 2 which starts on the 24th, maybe they'll have the DLC?
Wave 4 just came yesterday - you're just a wee bit behind with the Wave 2 comment.

No Zelda pre-order bonus or offer? These are really not that attractive sale prices.
Why would Nintendo discount a brand new game before it's even released? They aren't like EA. Nintendo rarely discounts first party games to begin with.
