I ordered this when it was $10 more last week. Just arrived today and I just finished assembling it. It's great. It's a bit shorter than a BS. I'd say by about 3" even though the web says 1.5". So that's noticeable, but not a deal breaker. In fact, if you're shorter it's probably a bonus as it'll make it easier to reach the back of the griddle. The side tables don't get hot at all, unlike the Blackstone I just sold that would melt plastic bottles in just a few minutes if you set them on the inner 4-6" of the table. The drip cups are also way better than the BS, although I don't know that I need two of 'em. Knobs are cheap crap (can replace with better products easily) and the tank holder isn't as nice as the BS (so that'll be a tiny inconvenience like ONCE a year?) The cooking surface is pretty large still. If you thought you needed 36" and are holding off on this cause it's 28"...that's only 4" of extra griddle on each side. The 28" still feels like plenty of surface, especially for our household of 2. I probably wouldn't get this if you are looking for a camping/tailgating griddle. Yes, it's smaller than a Blackstone or other popular griddles, but only by a small margin. That cooktop is still heavy as hell and while the legs collapse, you have to remove the lower and side shelves via 3 thumbscrews, and even then it doesn't wheel while folded. I'm actually not really sure why the legs fold up. Seems completely unnecessary.
Long story short, I am very happy with this thing. Ordered a second one for my mom. Gonna fashion some lids and eventually build it into my outdoor kitchen. At this price I highly recommend it.

Bought this 1/7/23 for $130 and thought I got a deal. Then saw it for $120, then $103, and now $91. Wait another 2 weeks and buy it at $6. Still haven't put it together yet, but hope it's worth what I paid for it.
Is a griddle better than a grill ? What's the diff
"Better" is subjective. Griddle is a flat top, so it has more surface area and can cook things (like scrambled eggs and pancakes) you can't on something with grates without a pan. Also, with a griddle, grease pools on the surface, which can be beneficial depending on what you're cooking.

Looks cool for camping or tailgating etc. If you leave the house that is. Oh and it looks like it takes a full size LP canister, which is good or bad depending on your needs (size/weight).
Buddy of mine had a portable small canister propane griddle and it was definitely popular at outings. This is a lot bigger, think camping or hardcore tailgate to need the full 20lb LP can.
I *guess* you could use this at home, but how often do you need an outdoor solid griddle at home?

This looks like a great deal for those who want to get into griddles or need a grill (substitute). I have a 36" blackstone and love it but might still grab this. I also have a Weber grill. I use them both frequently and for different things. A griddle is versatile in that I can make smashburgers and fried rice, which cannot be made on a grill.

This seems like a great deal if you are in the market for a griddle. I know a few people that have one and barely use their grills any more because of it. Many moons ago I worked in a restaurant and always wanted a griddle to have (other than cheap electric or stove griddle pans) so I was happy to see them finally available for residential (affordable) use.

For large pieces of meat you want to be bathed in the smoky flavor of burnt fat drippings use a grill.
For small slices, dices, smashes, pours, use a griddle.
