Any opinions on this? I'm familiar with cricut machines and 3d printing but haven't looked into this at all.

FYI, I purchased one of their Bluer 3D printers brand new during the last deal. They sat on the order for two weeks and then cancelled the order without any reason stated. Other have stated they received their orders.

The price isn't bad for a 5 watt laser. The engraving size is a bit small at 390 x 320 most 5w machines are 400 x 400. I think all of these chinese diode lasers are the same. There is some differences in the lenses used and some put out a smaller beam. .08 x .08 is pretty good resolution for one of these.his one says 0.01 engraving but not the actual beam resolution. Some of the older models produce a rectangle beam which isn't great for high resolution engraving.

Keep in mind you will 100 percent need.

1. aftermarket OD6+ glasses in the wavelength of the laser ( all the provided glasses are ok but not great and if you value your eyesight!!) This laser uses Laser wavelength 450nm which is pretty common for diode laser.

2. an enclosure or a room you can lock down so no family, friends, pets are going to walk in when the laser is actively being used without a set of laser protective glasses. This is a high power laser and even very short reflections from a class 4 laser can cause permanant eye damage. Just wear laser protective glasses and make sure every one else in the room does as well and it is fine.

3. These machines produce a lot of smoke and fumes, and I mean a lot! the engraved line or cut out is not being cut out and made into chips or sawdust it is being vaporised into fumes and smoke. You will need very very good ventilation or an enclosure and ducting to vent this outside. Many things can product toxic fumes, Toxic like someone finds you dead in the room with the laser toxic ( You should research and not cut or engrave these at all) But if you do (many people do) VENT the fumes away !!

I picked up a Laser enclosure on amazon for $49 and 25' of 4 inch dryer hose for $30 and a 4 inch duct fan for $50 but you can get the fans for as little as $20 .

You are burning stuff with one of these lasers, burning stuff is a fire hazzard, a fireproof enclosure is your friend. Don't use a laser without someone watching for fires and keep fire extinguishers handy!

Awesome great information thank you. I was hobby into handheld lasers when I was younger so I understand the seriousness of the eye protection but the fumes hadn't even occurred to me. I appreciate the time you took for that.

I agree with the eye protection and precaution advices. The newer model with TTS in the name has a shield around the laser module that should help a little to limit the laser exposure. I got the older TT-25 from last deal and had it run in garage with doors cracked open for venting the fumes. I hid behind closed door and watch the progress with webcam. Tool works OK but tech support is non existent, maybe it was just me.

I ordered one and emailed them to try to cancel my order. Instead they shipped it anyway and now I'm using it.

How's does this compare to the hundreds of similar ones on AliExpress? I need one to engrave a logo on Walnut wood and leather.
