You can not have more than 1 Sapphire card at the same time, and you can not get a new Sapphire signup bonus if you received one on any Sapphire card in the last 48 months.
For anyone debating on whether to go for this, know that the all time high is 100k bonus points, making this a very lucrative opportunity.
You can- I've seen YMMV reports about how many days you need to wait between cancelling and new application though.
Also things to keep in mind:
Use any credits you might have on existing card you haven't used yet.
Insure you move your UR points to a different card before closing old one.

I got the annual fee waived, I think? Visited a nearby chase branch and was offered this deal without asking for it. Got the exact deal with the points and all. And wasn't charged the annual fee. If I get charged later on, will update the post. Make sure to get rush shipping to get card in 1-2 biz days.
Chase sapphire reserve does not have this offer, it was still at 60k bonus points and rep said they cant offer the "preferred" bonus for "reserve"
Just went to the bank and confirmed deal. I was ineligible at the time because I just downgraded to freedom. Takes 30 days after for in branch app to show up.
Is this documented anywhere? I was about to downgrade today to go get this, looks like I might be screwed.

Darn, would really prefer to have the Reserve, but for 90k bonus I'll go with Preferred. So I won't be able to get the Reserve for another 48+ months, unless I forgo the sign up bonus. I suppose my plan will be to get the Preferred, close my AMEX Platinum and stick with the Venture X as my premium card for the next several years.

I was originally planning on getting Reserve as well, but with no bonus bump Preferred was a no brainer for me. I am planning on getting the 90k bonus this year and then try in product upgrade to Reserve some time next year. That way the points I get from Preferred will be worth 1.5x versus 1.25x if I redeem them through Preferred. That gets me the the bonus bump and the Reserve higher redeem value

But no sign up bonus for reserve. Hate giving up that 60k bonus.
My wife just got the preferred last year so it'll be a while before we have a reserve again. I've heard good things about the venture x card though.
Went into the branch today, but couldn't get to the offer to populate. I did have a sapphire card previously, but I receive my bonus six years ago and no longer have a sapphire card, so I should qualify. This was confirmed by the telephone representative. I'm gonna try again on Wednesday.

Nope, no higher offer for CSR. The rep at my local branch showed me on his screen and it's still 60k

I had to ask the guy that handles my business account to squeeze me in. Even then wait was 30 minutes.
