As a long time gamer (51 years old - grew up in the age of Atari, Pong and the dawn of the quarter arcades) I can say this is one of the better gaming experiences I have had recently. Both of these games are very engaging, somewhat challenging, beautiful graphically, and progress in them is satisfying. They both have simple but touching stories also. Two excellent games for babies, teens, adults and older gamers like myself.

No joke, playing this at 120hz on an OLED was the visual experience I didn't know I was waiting for.

Was waiting for this kind of sale on Switch, but wondering if buying for PC is the better move?

Dunno if you saw, but both titles are on sale for Switch through the 14th, if you decide to go that route.

I'll be the other side of the voice and can honestly say I fell asleep. I think this game appeals to those who view game as an art. I personally found the gameplay boring. I did only give it about 30 min but felt like 27 of those minutes was just the game showcasing how beautiful it looks (and it is beautiful). A lot of it was just watching "cutscenes" or "interactive cutscenes" e.g. slow walking cause everything has to be so emotional.

Maybe I'm just old now but when I play, I prefer a game that captures you with fun or intense (gameplay) immediately. Anyway I tend to be the very small minority but just thought the opposing view should be told too. Game on.

indeed the intro to the first game is a bit long but yeah, it does get fun & intense (difficult)

You call this boring? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlDPjAhQKMg

It's one of those games that just magically draw you in. The graphics are beautiful, the musical scores are amazing. It's an extremely well done game that give you a warm fuzzy feeling Please once you finished. I have played a lot of games, starting with the NES and mindlessly putting my entire lunch allowance playing Street Fighter on the arcades after school. This sequel and the original Ori and the Blind Forest are better than any of them, in my opinion.
