    Should have won the Oscar for best picture that year but i don't think the academy was ready to give it to an Asian film at that time.

    I may be wrong on this, but if it was originally shot on film, isn't that higher res than 4k? If they go back to the master print, they should be able to get 4k without having to upscale it.

    Edit to add:

    "It is estimated that 35mm film has a digital resolution equivalent to 4K: 35mm Imax film equates to 6K, while 70mm Imax is closer to 12K."

    Awesome cinematography, poetic movement, interesting story, minimally noticeable CGI. But tastes differ, I'm shocked anyone watches most superhero and horror movies. But I accept it.

    Me too! I got it when Flixster and Vudu were giving 10 movies away for joining. Every few years I have to give it a watch and just enjoy the cinematography.
