Was wondering if the garmin 965 could get the discount but seems like that would fall under GPS or fitness tracker
That is literally a GPS, so ya...no

This is such a bad protocol, I've seen a few stores that does this and all i can think of it's just a waste of products. Maybe there are some legal reasons behind it but from a cost perspective I don't see why the customer can just return and rebuy the same item. Especially for a store with great return policy like this, you would think the store/brands would appreciate it not wasting an new item on return/rebuy for discount because people will do it.
They do it to make it a hassle. If it was too easy, people would buy stuff out days before the coupon was released.

Yes and no. REI has had better prices on bike parts during the shortage. And their sale prices can be the best out there.

FYI, pre-sale price hikes are in effect already for some items. Added a Nemo Roamer XL to my wishlist on Monday to buy with coupon on Friday. It was an outlet item and already 25% off so would have been killer with the 20% off coupon. As of tonight, it's no longer an outlet item and is back to full price. I'm an REI fan but seeing this and hearing similar stories before past sales and coupons, it's really crappy that they do this and not consistent with their brand image.

I agree. But sometimes it may be vendors requiring them to hike prices to protect their brand.

this isn't always REI
as another poster stated, certain brands have pricing agreements where retailers are not allowed to sell below X price

Is the motion better than the force? I forgot which one has the lock that's difficult and can break
