Does anyone have some good knowledge about toothpastes? Over the last few years, there have been a bunch of new toothpastes claiming to be "gum health" or "re-mineralization" or something more special than regular toothpaste...but if you look at the ingredients, there isn't any ingredient that's different than normal toothpastes. It's all fluoride as the active ingredient. Am I missing something? Why is Paraontax better at gum health than Colgate/Crest/etc regular cheapo toothpaste? Would love to know!!

It's the stannous fluoride, a different type of fluoride than the one commonly used in recent decades. Studies show that stannous fluoride remineralizes weakened enamel better than the other form of fluoride.
