I price matched with Bestbuy so that you can receive a free heatsink for it.

Lol the thing is, when I plugged this thing into an external USB enclosure and tried to initialize it.. It froze and it bricked itself. Gonna have to exchange it for another. Hopefully this isn't a common problem and was just a fluke.
These 2 tb deals are the norm. Let's see some for 4tb are enuf of these already.
You may have shocked it when placing it in the enclosure

Wow this is a really good deal! I don't have one but I do have their SSDs and have not had any problems with them.

Got this last time for my PS5. The PS5 format benchmark keeps reporting this at 5600'ish MB/s.

With that being said, all the games I've installed and played work fine. No issues. But don't think you're getting a huge win over any other of the several M2 NVME drives that keep popping the FP.

Is there a trick to getting it with HS?

Yeah this is a slower one but still perfectly useable since it will hit around the recommended mark. If you just want the cheapest good one you can get this is a good choice. If you want the best that read in the 6,500 MB/s range you'll have to pay a little more.

Yep this one is perfectly fine. The fastest ones are like $180 or so right now for 2TB with heatsink and as you said the performance difference would be negligible. This one with heatsink is currently $134 so you're saving like $45 or so over the more expensive ones. Probably not worth it for a PS5 unless you have the money to blow.

Unless you are getting one for the PS5, then SN770 is probably a better choice especially with the PayPal cash back deal through WD.

This has 2gb of Dram while the SN770 has none.

That may help with smaller files. But most may not see a difference.

I could be wrong, but I think DRAM also helps with longevity.

Nope, just place an order at BB then chat to their CS stating you want to pricematch. Then just send them one of the links above.

Well.. lol I just checked BB site and they're out of stock. Lol so guess you can't anymore, not sure how the hell I'm gonna be able to exchange it now. Guess I'll return it and keep the heatsink or something unless they ask for it.

So you're planning on not returning the whole product that you purchased? That doesn't sound legal. Also, maybe your enclosure "bricked" the drive, it wasn't seated properly, etc.

It was seated correctly lol. I have two m.2's. Wouldn't make sense that I was able to connect one m.2 correctly but not the other lol..

The heatsink came in a separate box. They've refunded me at the store and didn't ask for the heatsink so.. Mehh
