My wife and I take turns putting the account in our names every 2 years. We just alternate.

You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

Any way to avoid paying early termination fees ? I read you can convert your plan to "everyday pricing" to get off contract, then cancel the next day.

What is the best way to so this if you live alone? Sign up for a new account with a different first name?, They wont look into this when your autopay bank account is the same name as you prev xfinity account name?
I did this twice at two different addresses 45 min ago, I used the name of my pets this round and then used my actual name for the auto bill off the bank account. I've already received emails welcoming me to Xfinity and informing me that my self install stuff is on the way.

I have a package plan for both Internet and TV. I also have my xfinity mobile. Is it possible for me to switch all three to another family member and get this deal?

Were you under an existing contract? Your old account gets canceled when you signup under new name, if you haven't finished out your contract for the old account wouldn't you be subject to the early termination fee?

Update: Because I see this deal has reached FP, I noticed the FP bulletpoint stated this offer was for unlimited data. This is not entirely accurate for all situations at the current price point. I've notified a moderator to see if they can get that fixed. But for now, I'll update my post about this.
How you are getting the unlimited upload speed? I am only getting around 11 mb and i have xfi complete

I just recently switched names for my expired 1 year 75mbps plan, it was more pain than I thought it'd be - their online system would not let me sign up whatsoever as a new "customer" moving into the address, checkout would get stuck with no error message on a loading screen. After calling in, they told me it was because the previous account was still active. Called in to cancel that account, but still had to place the new order over the phone. Also couldn't self activate the same day, spent another half hour with tech support reading the modem MAC address before it was up and running again.

I was able to do the deal online last week when I canceled xfinity cable (but kept internet plan, initially) when my mythtvbox died and cable was therefore useless to me. I had to go to rentions to cancel cable, but they would not give me the $25 (cough $35 deal), and was charged like $75 for 300Mbs. I went to change my service online, and it allow the $25 dollar plan, but it created a brand new account. Thus for a couple of hours I had two active accounts, but was able to get the first one removed and kept the second one. Somehow I was even able to keep my existing login and password. Very wierd for comcast to allow this. The advertised $25 is crap, its $35 with a $5CC or $10 bank autopay discount. There is another provider offering Gig internet for $35 a month, but then they added $15 of unadertised fees of which $3 is actually taxes and rest is jargin going directly into their pockets. The only thing good about the Gig internet is the higher upload rate, but it is still laughable at 40Mbs.

Went from $170 to $95 ($35 - $5 autopay cc + $65(YouTubeTv) + free flex box.

The Flexbox streams better than an very old laptop that currently is hooked up the tv. Both are ethernet wired, but the laptop streams in browser seem slower, cbs in particularly was jumpy every 10 seconds like clockwork. This is my first actually streaming box, and its kinda of annoying in that it is recommending tons of programs, then you click on it only to find out that you have to pay to watch it and there is no way to turn off these recommendations or remove the apps that you do not want. The only real benefit of the flex overr other boxes is probably getting the occasional free B chanel for the week.

This is helpful. How many hours were you without internet for all in all between calling to cancel and then setting up the "new" account on the phone?

Someone might have answered this, but if you are a current one with a 12 month locked contract, ... is there a possibility? Worth paying the termination fee if paying about $65 a month? Got about 8 more months.

pretty sure it's 10 bucks a month etf.. so 80 bucks . you'll break even after 2 months of the new plan if that's correct.

I set my cancellation date for the same day when cancelling, and to my surprise they actually cut service off around 1am the next day (in past experience, they would keep the line active for another week or so in hopes of "retention").

Once I noticed the line was disconnected in the morning, I started the first call to place an order, and then tech support after, probably 1.5 hours for those combined.

Note that you must use the Comcast supplied hardware to use xfi complete. For many people that might not matter, but it was a deal breaker for me. The alternative is $30 extra a month for unlimited (further proving that unlimited data is simply a ploy for them to make more money and not a true limitation of the infrastructure, but I digress).
Why is a deal breaker for you? Is there an additional fee for Comcast supplied hardware?
