My wife and I take turns putting the account in our names every 2 years. We just alternate.

You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

Anyone else notice the $25 price does show in cart and 35 If choosing xfinity connect.

But when you look at details of pricing, it shows second year the pricing jumps from 25 to 72$.

Basically the promotion discount shoes expired for 2nd year. Is thisna glitch nobody noticed??

For those who have signed up for the plan, what Wifi equipment did they send you?

They sent me the XB3 modem as opposed to the XB8 modem shown in the advertisement

Is it better to use own equipment or get the Xfinity gateway ? Do they limit speeds in any way if we use our own equipment?

I'm seeing this as an option as an existing customer as well. So might not need to do the whole cancel and sign up new thing. I'm at $45 for 400mbps right now. Wondering if I ever even use 400 and 200 would be fine.
how are you seeing this?

Currently a RCN member and was able to lower my bill by threatening to switch to Comcast with this deal. RCN wouldn't give me their new customer offer (300Mbps $20/mo first month free) but they priced matched Comcast (300Mbps $25/mo)

Nice. So much better when there is farking competition available. I remember when my area used to have Comcast only. Now there are 2 or 3 choices.

Make sure you use a link from a refer-a-friend with xfinity. If you sign up for just internet, it's a $50 visa gift card right now. I can try to send one if you message me or you might already know someone.

Seeking anyone with knowledge on best execution on this for a current customer suffering from increased prices due to bill creep! Is it possible to create a new account at same address? T.I.A. for any guidance or determination one way or the other. Smilie
I can't vouch for the currency of this as it's been a while, but one method of reducing bill / taking advantage of a deal for new customers only was to cancel our account and open a new one in someone else's name in the household. A bit of work to do for sure but it could work or at least be worth asking about. Again, not guaranteeing it would work now, but it did several years back.
