You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

Wondering if this will be valid in 3-4 months... currently on contract probably until then. Our contract started in early June 2022... wondering if it is exactly that date in June 2023 that it is over, or what

"Limited to 3 devices. 1 device included, additional devices $5/mo. per device."

Also, it wanted $15 a month for a gateway. It's not available in Texas, so it doesn't affect me anyways. Optimum has a monopoly on cable internet here.

Do you each have own modem that you activate? OR share the same modem? If same modem, does there needs to be a gap in service to that the modem gets removed from say your/current account and then gets added into her/new account?

They go by the address so do you say they're moving out and your wife is taking over the account?

Lots of websites require gigbit internet to get a decent experience. If it ever takes more than 1 second for a page to load, your internet is too slow.
that's not how this works, you're worried about latency which isn't affected by adding more lanes to your highway.
