My wife and I take turns putting the account in our names every 2 years. We just alternate.

You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

If I connect the xFi Complete Gateway to my own router, do I still get the faster upload speed?

I say leave Comcast, ive gone to Verizon home internet, it's been a year now and I wish I had left years ago. I think TMobile offers home internet too
I would love that! Only problem is the "One" Problem...the twisted irony of living in the heart of Silicon Valley, surrounded by tech (and belly up banks recently), and there is a total lack of options for ISP's, which has left us completely bereft, and left with about as much internet choice as the diners had in Belushi's SNL "Cheeseburger" Skit Smilie Great Comedy when Cheeseburgers are the matter for discussion. Xfinity & Internet, well that's a totally darker and far more upsetting bit!

Update: Because I see this deal has reached FP, I noticed the FP bulletpoint stated this offer was for unlimited data. This is not entirely accurate for all situations at the current price point. I've notified a moderator to see if they can get that fixed. But for now, I'll update my post about this.
Xfi Complete also gives you max upload speed?

UPDATE: I'm getting 280Mbps down and 80Mbps upload consistently. I took a chance and ordered anyway. Device came yesterday and setup took 5 minutes. So $10/mo XFi add on was helpful afterall Smilie

Dealbreaker spotted: 10Mbps upload even after adding $10/mo unlimited addon 🥲

I wonder if the 200Mbps for $25/month special would work if I reduce my speed on my account to 75Mbps for a day or two. Hopefully the 75Mbps isn't on contract.

The increased upload speed with xFi complete seems to be highly YMMV.

First, it's not available in all US regions. Below is a reddit post from an xfinity employee, detailing where the increased upload speed has been deployed so far (as of 1 month ago)
https://www.reddit.com/r/Comcast_...ing_to_be/

Second, the modem xfinity is sending out for this deal seems to be the XB3, which is old and highly unlikely to support anything faster than 50Mbps for upload speed.
Woot, thanks for this info. Was super helpful!

Well hell, I finally find something to look at where I do not need an existing phone plan and the service isn't available here. Spectrum reeling me back in again.

Big downgrade in upload speed vs att fiber. Make sure you don't use video calls more than one person in family at the same time

I tried this but did not show the $25 deal for me after a day. I had 2 months left of a contract when I cancelled. Waiting to see if switching to 75mbs non contract prior to cancelling old account.

Same here, I am debating if I should remove the $10 add on. I don't really use more than 1.2TB as I also have TMHI but got this as a cheap wired backup for WFH.

Which modem did they send you?
Not the one you quoted but I got an looks like scratched Arris tg1682g. Nothing like the purple white one in the pic they show.

Still getting rated speeds of 200 DL 10 UL.

BUT with the $10 add on xfinity complete still won't get 100 or 200 UL SPeeds so debating if j should remove or downgrade the add on. I did want the higher UL speeds.

In all honesty 1.2tb is quite a bit of data. I monitored my current usage, household of 4. This includes me working full time from home, two retired parents and my wife. Heavy usage includes IPTV box, torrents, and lots of YouTube, Netflix, and WhatsApp. We never really get past 300gb per month

I think that is the only one that doesn't require a contract

Has anyone who added the $10 upgrade tried using their own Docsis 3.1 modem? If so what were speeds? The Arris TG1682g is only Docsis 3.0 but it should still support uploads of up to 124Mbps. Confused
