However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.
If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.
For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

If you are under a contract and you need to cancel service, you may be subject to an early termination fee (ETF).
If you move to a Comcast serviceable area, and transfer service, you are not charged.
If you move to a Comcast serviceable area, and do not sign up for service, then the ETF would apply.
If you move to a non-Comcast serviceable area, then the ETF does apply.
If it is an active duty military deployment, then the ETF will be waived when you send documentation.
If the account holder is deceased, the ETF will be waived upon receiving a death certificate or obituary.
If you downgrade service, then the ETF will not apply.
If you have a Double/Triple Play and remove all but one service, then the ETF will not apply.

During the first 6 months of Covid when everything were remote and at least 3 out of 4 family member need to use Zoom/Google Meet/WebEx for online meeting/school. May play some online gaming but those are more like cellphone game which should not use much data(?). No torrents, no netflix, and NO 4k streaming but 2 kids and 2 adults start watching more youtube(may be 1080p or whatever AUTO speed for AT&T DSL), there was one month over 1TB and many months close to 1TB (after started monitoring usage to avoid over the AT&T 1TB limit) during those Covid time (while everyone switch to 720p/480p or lower resolution for youtube video setting after that one month of over 1TB which lead to AT&T warning about charging for over usage if happen again).
So you don't have to watch 4k video nor play PC/console game/torrent to get over 1TB data a month.
But once both kids go back to in-person schooling, so they spent much less time at home on online school meeting and much less time watching youtube especially during school hours, didn't get that close to 1TB anymore (but still regularly over 500GB). I wonder if my kids (those old enough to need full internet access for school and don't have as much self control) have youtube running in background almost whole days those first few months during Covid when pretty much can't get out of the house..... While for adults, we have more self control of watching youtube, etc and won't open them on background all the time (wonder if teenage would have it on even during school time...).
So just because two family have the same number of people will have much different usage pattern based on the age of those people. One would expect people at the age that has less self control would use much more data.
the lowest price you can get on their mobile plans is a single line with unlimited talk and text, and 1 gig of data, which would $15 + tax (probably about $5).
So, another way of thinking of this would be that you're spending at least $20 to save $10. Not worth it, in my opinion.
$35 for 200mbps internet service is decent, but I dislike all the hoops you have to go through to get the advertised $25 price. classic comcast/xfinity antics.
relevant fine print/terms:
$10 Mobile discount: Must sign up for Xfinity Mobile and activate a new line within 90 days of order and maintain the line to receive $10 mobile discount for 24 months. Discount applied to Internet bill and will appear on statement within 30 days of Xfinity Mobile line activation. If Xfinity Mobile or Xfinity Internet is cancelled, or Internet service is changed to a tier lower than the Xfinity Internet tier in this order within the 24 months, the $10 multi-product discount will be removed.
