My wife and I take turns putting the account in our names every 2 years. We just alternate.

You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

I believe that $10 pricing is only possible during signup. Hope CSR can add this for you..
I chatted on xfinity.com with virtual assistant and requested call back in regard to adding xFi complete.

Very kind lady Jessica, assisted me with disconnecting my old account, cancelling the new one (without xFi complete) and creating a new one (with xFi complete).

I will bridge the xFi modem as I am using Cisco meraki as my firewall. Increased upload speeds with help me with streaming my Remux media library from remote locations.

I am on WaveG in Seattle paying 33/mo for symmetrical 100Mbps.
Just ordered 35/mo 200Mbps unlimited with XFi complete.

I'll come back and update how much my upload speed is going to be. Wish me luck!

I just took this service recently and please note you don't get that fancy looking white device shown in the picture. What I got was a huge black 10"x10" modem/wi-fi router that looks something like a cable box from 10 years ago. It was a bit disappointment seeing something like that in 2023.

Me too for the Ariss TG1682G that's a big arse box. And being told that for unlimited data I need to stick to using this..it's XB3 the one being shown is either XB7 or XB8.

It's so bulky and non aesthetic.. looks like from 8 to 10byears ago.

Just bought a beach house and plan on taking this deal so the kid can stream her cartoons. Anyone know if I can watch xfinity cable from the roku app using my primary residence's cable subscription at my beach house? TIA!

Is the Xfi complete a separate service or just a $10 add'on so it could be dropped in the future without losing the $25 basic plan?

I am an existing customer with about 6 weeks left on my previous promo ($45/mo + free gateway for a year because the certificate expired on my modem) and I believe that the reddit rep got me signed up for the $25 promo (I took screen shots of the chat and approval screen). We'll see what my next bill or 2 show.

Signed up for xFi Complete for $35/mo. I want the unlimited data and faster upload.

Received XB6 modem in 2 days.

Modem was dead when I plugged it in. Tried to activate it anyways and the Xfinity app allowed me schedule a next day appointment and waived the installation fee.

---

Edit: Tech came and fixed my connection. They replaced my modem with the XB7.

Speed test according to xfinity app is 200/60 with 15ms ping. Okta is reporting 180/60 with 18ms ping.

xFi Complete was worth it for the extra upload.

You can drop it anytime but won't be able to add it back for $10. Be careful

Never in my life in this day and age especially, have I heard of an internet home plan that actually had data caps lol

That's just a hard no from any angle I don't care how cheap it is.
If Comcast is the only option, then the hard no means using your mobile device for internet.

Seeking anyone with knowledge on best execution on this for a current customer suffering from increased prices due to bill creep! Is it possible to create a new account at same address? T.I.A. for any guidance or determination one way or the other.
I worked for Comcast, and the way around the system if Retention wont lower your bill is to cancel your services and have them turn off the equipment. You have to have them turn off the equipment or it wont work. You immediately call back the sales dept and are eligible for new customer pricing. If you dont have your equipment turned off they wont be able to offer you the new pricing. I do this every year or 2. The deals just arent as good as they use to be so I do it less now than I use to. There is no real competition for them because of internet in most areas. I pay $190 a month with 1g internet, unlimited data and the second highest TV tier with just about all the channels and 1 premium. I can live with that. I have gotten rid of all the cable boxes except the DVR, everyone just uses laptops/computers/xbox's/smart tv app as their cable box. Cable boxes will kill you in pricing. With the 1 gig internet i got unlimited data, and free modem or I would have my own modem. I have been paying in the neighborhood of $190 for aobut 4yrs now.

What exactly you need to tell them to turn off the equipment??
Appreciate your help!!!

based on my reading of their terms, my understanding is that if you don't get xfinity mobile, the price will be $35 at best (if you auto-pay with a bank account), since you lose the $10 mobile bundle discount.

the lowest price you can get on their mobile plans is a single line with unlimited talk and text, and 1 gig of data, which would $15 + tax (probably about $5).

So, another way of thinking of this would be that you're spending at least $20 to save $10. Not worth it, in my opinion.

$35 for 200mbps internet service is decent, but I dislike all the hoops you have to go through to get the advertised $25 price. classic comcast/xfinity antics.

relevant fine print/terms:
$10 Mobile discount: Must sign up for Xfinity Mobile and activate a new line within 90 days of order and maintain the line to receive $10 mobile discount for 24 months. Discount applied to Internet bill and will appear on statement within 30 days of Xfinity Mobile line activation. If Xfinity Mobile or Xfinity Internet is cancelled, or Internet service is changed to a tier lower than the Xfinity Internet tier in this order within the 24 months, the $10 multi-product discount will be removed.
It's actually $45 a month if you are not an Xfinity mobile customer. Keep reading the fine print. It's a $10 discount for having xfinity mobile and another $10 discount for having an unlimited data plan on that mobile line. How does this thread have 600+ comments and nobody has noticed that?
