My wife and I take turns putting the account in our names every 2 years. We just alternate.

You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

Comcast has made it so hard. A few ways. Try to annoy the loyalty department call 3-4 times. (They're now trained to not budge). Second , If you're not in contract with them. Cancel your service. Your current service as long as there's no contract that means fees, let it sit for one to three days and then try. Third, switch it to another person's name. Hope it works. I canceled my dad's service for a week when I saw this advertisement and then I added service
monopoly. government doesn't want to touch them because it's too big.

just so you know - Youtube tv is going from $64.99 to 72.99 (+tax depending on your state I think)...when I signed up for YT tv back in 2020 it was 'only' $49.00
Yeah, I know. I'll still be saving a ton.

Can anyone explain how to get this to work if you are an existing customer, and don't have a roommate or wife name to use? Every time I go through and when I get to the last page, it boots me out to the home page. Tried incognito mode, cleared cookies, but nothing works.

Please explain step by step as if I am an idiot, which I probably am. When I call them they just tell me the offer is for new customers only.

BTW, am on Windows 10, and use Chrome (or Firefox).

$10 Amazon gift card for someone who helps me to get it to work.
Just open a second account with them under the same name. That's what I did.

I was able to sign up for this as a 2nd account under the same ID. Same day I got an email saying "We received your cancellation request" for the old service, but now 10 days later the cancellation has not been processed. I tried chatting with support a couple of times, but it was typical idiocy with lots of small talk, no action, and dropped chat sessions. How to make sure the old account gets properly disconnected as scheduled?

Did activate the gateway? it doesn't cancel previous service till you activate new service.

Yes, I activated the new service with my own 2nd modem on the day of order.

Wondering how much people are having to pay for early termination fee... I think my contract expires like June 5th or something of this year

It should say in your contract in the online documents. If its $110 etf for a 1 year contract , it decreases by $10 per month. The first month does not count , so if you cancel April 5, I think you would owe 20

You can check yours here - https://customer.xfinity.com/#/se.../contracts

I may be moving in two months so I dont want to bother with this now. In two months Ill have to see if my new place even offers Comcast

Is there a trick to logging, and staying logged in, to the xfinity website? It's atrocious, keeps booting me out to the login screen whenever I try to take any action. Tried on Firefox, Chrome, and even with the phone (android) app. Can't believe an ISP has such a poorly functioning website.

I suspect that this particularly happens for people who are under a contract and/or are not considered new customers... so probably you need to signup under another account to be eligible as a "new customer"

They redid their website a few months ago - it became utter garbage.. I always news to login twice (with 2fa), then can move around the website... But I think you need to get your tracking ON in browser settings for it to go smoothly

Has anyone managed to get xfinity to swap their xb3 for xb6 or xb7?
Yup! Swapped old bulky xb3 with xb8. It's a significant upgrade in terms of coverage and stability. Triband is worth every penny.

Went to Xfinity store and was really respectful but upset accusing Xfinity of bait and switch as I was promised (by just showing XB8 during signup) but was shipped XB3. Store manager was really helpful. He tried swapping with his handheld device. He said it won't allow it, but he can override it. He took new modem inside and then came back after few minutes with "exchange receipt".

Again, XB8 is awesome!! Such a superior coverage and triband is awesome. We don't what we are missing till we experience new technology.

I wonder what would happen if you tried to stacking an affordable connectivity program discount ( or whatever it's called)--would it stack on top of this deal...? I was thinking of trying to add it on 2-3 months down the line

It should stack. I set up a $45/mo promo for my grandma and she's only paying $15/mo after the ACP discount for 300mbps with unlimited data. I did the ACP stuff a week after I initially signed her up

I've signed up for Xfinity Mobile because they gave an iPhone 13 Mini for free (as 24 monthly device credits). I'm wondering if I'm trapped with Xfinity internet plan because of this. I know my plan cost would increase in a few months whereas this mobile plan is still 12+ months away being paid off.

Is there a way I could get in on this deal?

Also, I'm currently getting a $30 discount on my monthly plan because I also have Xfinity mobile. Would that also apply if I signup for a new line under this offer?
