However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.
If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.
For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

On March 14th, I called and cancelled my 800MB/120 channels plan, which had cost me $127/month. I cancelled with 1 month remaining on my contract.
That same day about 30 minutes after cancelling my old service, I ordered this new service, without their gateway and using same name, phone number, bank account, but using different email address. During checkout it recognized the same phone number I'm assuming, so it asked if I wanted to merge account, I chose NO.
My cable TV & internet was disconnected when I woke up the next day. I unplugged my cable modem, waited 30 seconds, plugged it back in and using the Xfinity app, I put the MAC ID of the old modem and activated it. BINGO!
Keep in mind, depending on your billing cycle, your old Xfinity account may generate a new bill, which mine did, but after calling Xfinity, they informed me that my old account will generate a final bill 30 days after cancellation, and sure enough, after 31 days, my old account showed exactly what I owed, $3.13 after $10 ETF.
My new account was perfectly fine, they pulled $25 out of my bank account on April 7th, which is about 3 weeks after ordering my new service. BTW, make sure you have data on your phone when using the Xfinity app to activate your modem/gateway, because you will no longer have Wifi. Good luck!
And the funny thing is, the 800mbps plan would cost more than what I'm paying for the 1.2gb...
Ordered Friday, auto cancel of my current account Sunday, installed in 5 minutes Sunday afternoon.
I alternate years with my and my wife's name and use my own hardware.
$25 with no tax for 2 more years. Solid.

I currently am using Comcast equipment XB8 gateway which I would like to keep.
I dont want them to send me an older hardware when I sign up for new account.
Is there a way to sign up and keep using their same equipment? I tried searching this forum post for an answer but I didnt see anything clear cut. I saw some info about power cycling here but wasnt sure if this applied to Comcast equipment or if its own equipment.
I am on the unlimited plan right now so thinking of I should still keep it or not. Would be great to hear from folks who just have the 10Mbos upload on their experience and whether you work from home/do multiple zoom meetings at the same time.
I opted for store pick-up to not pay any shipping fees.
Does anyone know on in-store pick-up if you wait a few days and then activate does that start the billing period from that date or from the date you signed up for the service?
