My wife and I take turns putting the account in our names every 2 years. We just alternate.

You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

You tried resetting your Wyze Cam and reconnecting it to your new gateway WiFi? If not, you'll need to do that.

With the Wyze Cam plugged into power, press and hold the setup button on the bottom of the camera for 10 seconds. This will reset the camera. Good luck!
Tried everything. I finally got everything working properly by turning on bridge mode and using a Nighthawk router I had laying around. Worked right away. It even has better range than the crappy xb3

I signed up for this $25 plan using my checking account as payment. If I prepay a few months in advance with a credit card, will the monthly rate still stay at $25?
I wouldn't pay several months in advance on the credit card (Cause then you're just incurring interest for no reason), but if you pay each month prior to the pull date, you'll keep the discount.

I currently am using Comcast equipment XB8 gateway which I would like to keep.
I dont want them to send me an older hardware when I sign up for new account.
Is there a way to sign up and keep using their same equipment?
Nope. If you don't turn in the old equipment they'll keep charging you on your old plan. And because of this specific promotion, they are absolutely refusing to give out better equipment. I went from an XB7 to an XB3, so I just bought a good router and bridged the XB3. I'm angry that I had to spend the extra money, but it'll wash out long before the promotion ends, so meh.

So, if you join now, no peacock for you?
Correct. No Peacock for you. And no Peacock for everyone (Even folks who've had it for some time now) soon anyway.

So, XB8 is mainly bettet for its router features?

If I have a good router, shoulnt make much difference between XB3 and XB8?

Exactly. I'm sure there's some edge case magic that the XB8 "Might" handle better than the XB3 as a modem, but for the Vast Majority of use cases, the XB3 will handle 200Mbs pumped through to your router fine. Just make sure to set it in Bridge Mode to keep things from mucking up due to running two DNS servers.

And now appears to be $15 shipping fee (even for slow shipping) for the gear. I didn't remember that being there at the beginning of the promo.

I opted for store pick-up to not pay any shipping fees.

Does anyone know on in-store pick-up if you wait a few days and then activate does that start the billing period from that date or from the date you signed up for the service?
one time activation fee. Not monthly fee?
Anyone want to confirm or maybe I will return it.

Same here ($35 for 1Yr) in SW FL, but if you click through it shows up as 2 years on the next page (at least it does here).

If you've missed this deal I'd recommend calling your local sales rep (if you can find that info!)

I was lucky enough to have a sales rep come out to our house and I asked her about this, she got it manually approved and I'm setup with the same deal despite it being expired for my area. Good luck!
