Disagree. They make quality products. I rarely use their app since lights are controlled by alexa, but have no complaints when I do use the app.

I'm hoping to use this to cheaply illuminate my retro video game console 4 shelf cabinet as I believe you can power these via USB as well. In for one; THX OP.

The govee products are priced well. But I'd agree. The app is not the best. If they improved that alone and I'd always recommend them

Just do what a normal person does and hook them up to Google/Alexa.

I use the Govee app for an AC bluetooth long LED strip. The app has a lot of lighting options, which I have no experience of the options via Google/Alexa besides the power on/off/scheduling.
