I'm going to respectfully disagree. I had a Neat D3 and it was constantly a frustration. The software is just not at the same level as the Roborock. I have not had any issues with the software for Roborock over the last year. I have the S5 and honestly love it. I don't think I can go back to Neato software.

hmmm i dont know if i should keep my amazon, new one for $572 with tax or this one with the 2 year allstate warranty for $460 with tax.


UPDATE: went with the ebay one, hoping they are basically new units, anyone have experience with the refurbed units?

I was on the fence with the S7MaxV Amazon price but jumped on this as soon as I saw it. I am hoping these are new also since the S8 will be released in April.

Yep, mine was perfectly clean and seemed physically new. The only thing was the old map was still loaded. At least in confirmed that the vacuum was only run once. Still a bit creepy. That unit is still working 3 years later

I keep waiting for a good sub $400 roborock deal. I just don't think these devices are worth this much to me. I bought my s4max for $280 new in 2021 and I want another for a different floor.

This brand is only worth it for the premium level features like camera obstacle detection and avoidance.

If you just want a good working robot vacuum that has lidar a Neato is around 200 and for me the connected series (not the newest models) have been great.

I'm going to respectfully disagree. I had a Neat D3 and it was constantly a frustration. The software is just not at the same level as the Roborock. I have not had any issues with the software for Roborock over the last year. I have the S5 and honestly love it. I don't think I can go back to Neato software.

I just ordered an S5 Max for family member. Came to $236 after the discount. Great deal with the 2 year warranty.

Similar story for me but the outside of the unit was a little worn. All of the serviceable parts were new replacements and it had the old owners map. Overall worth saving the money compared to new imo.

I've heard similar complaints about Roborock software but not as much. I do agree it's likely better but for lower models then it's a comparison between vacuum performance.

That's fair. So I guess you have to pick which is most important. My S5 does pick up a lot as a vacuum. I rarely use the mopping feature so not sure it matters. The Neato software is just so frustrating.
