It's micro USB charging. It's a deal breaker for me since I am trying to phase out needing those cables.

I got two pairs for my kids. They love them. I dont want to listen to them play on the phone. So it works out great for everyone. I couldn't find a better price per battery life. The weigh isnt heavy not sure how people are complaining about it. Maybe weak necks from being slonked over their phones. The look and feel durable/premium and you even get a nice little bag for them and the accessories that come with them.

Based on a price tracking tool, on Amazon for most of 2022 it has been sold for 45-60$ by 3rd party sellers. By Amazon itself, for 90$.
It hasn't been sold for 150$ in a while.

FYI

not a very good pair of headset to be honest, the MSRP is obviously inflated and they play on the brand who never was the same after the samsung acquisition. heck, samsung branded earbuds are better than this. But if you need one and you feel the price or look is good, go for it.

You have some many good IEMs that trounces this headset in every single category in term of sound quality at a similar price.

Isn't 80% off MSRP a liquidation ?
IMO initially yes. But not if it's been that price for months since 2022. But then again i suppose they figure a set of headphones doesn't tale up too much shelf space. See how long a large monitor or desktop hangs out on the shelf...

I like them. Definitely worth $30.
These are just about worth the 30$ but nothing more. I have used 20$ headphones with similar sound quality. I think it would be definitely worth it for 25$ range.
  • For Music, definitely a straight up NO. simply because I use beats studio 3 for those and the sound difference is light years apart..
  • For Gaming, again a straight up NO, simply because I use beats studio 3 for those and the sound difference is light years apart..
  • For Watching TV, then it is a YES.

BUY THESE FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS ONLY
1. Kids headphones
2. Keep partner sane when watching TV in bedroom (bluetooth)
3. Backup headphones for when your main dies unexpectedly.

The sound quality is kind of tinny. it has good base but due to the not so good treble frequency, I would say the sound is just adequate. IMHO.

I bought two sets of these and use it for reason 2 above. They pair well with any tv with Bluetooth and make a huge difference.

They are not very light, but definitely not pressuring your ear like someone said here. That is definitely not the case. They are very very comfortable.

They have a nice feature that you can PAUSE playback on NETFLIX, PLEX or any other TV with a button on the left ear but.

But they also can detect when you take the headphones off and will automatically pause TV playback as soon as you take off the left ear.
It will also automatically resume playback of your tv once you put the left ear back on.
So essentially if you take off the head phones it pauses TV, when you put them back on it will resume playback. This feature is what what makes it go from 25$ to 30$ in my book.

Yes, you can. But like many headphones, plugging in disables the power, so you can't use control buttons or ambient sound.
Would these work well on an airplane if using wired? I want to use a splitter so two people can watch a show on a tablet at the same time.

Very good for the price. I have them in blue for a few months. They sound good and I like that they use both Bluetooth and plug in. A lot of headphones are doing away with plug in.

Yes, it will but be sure to use the cable that came with it. It is not the standard audio cable with 3.5 on both sides. The side that plugs into the headphone is 2.5mm.

I Found another headphone is more comfortable due to the lighter weight:

Question is- why do people think it's not worth $29?
Any expert views!
sound output is bad, like a cheap speaker. maybe ok strictly for talk.
returned it.

update - I bought the other AKG for $ 60 and its sound quality is good. I suggest that bigger one. https://slickdeals.net/f/16510639-akg-y600nc-bluetooth-wireless-over-ear-noise-cancelling-headphones-60-free-shipping?attrsrc=search%3Aterm%3Aakg%7Csearch%3Apage%3A1%7Csearch%3Aposition%3A1%7Csearch%3Aresult_type%3Athread%7Csearch%3Aresult_id%3A16510639&src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

Another way to identify potentially older product is to look at their implementation of Bluetooth. These use BT 4.2, which debuted in 2014. It was also the last iteration of the BT 4.x protocol.
Bluetooth 5 debuted in 2016.
Not that every vendor implements the newest version of tech as soon as it's ratified, but it at least gives you some baseline.
(And as other people have noted, the MicroUSB connector compared to USB-C is also telltale).

That being said, just because something is older and discounted doesn't inherently mean it's garbage. These headphones debuted in 2018. As such, there are plenty of online reviews from reputable sources.

I like them but it is a quirky design that the microphone is on the cord so you need the cord to talk on the phone.
