The battery life alone makes this the best Apple Watch you can buy. You don't need to be into any ultra activities to benefit from it. Easily get 2 days of use with all features enabled (I don't use cellular) and a few workouts.

There are lots of thing in life that people buy that are useless for a premium. It sounds like you're speaking from a person who never had an Apple Watch nor use it for physical/health reasons. I used to think like you but after getting my first Apple Watch, I realized the convenient it provides me. I can keep my bulky phone at home when I'm at the gym or running errands and it's a backup for when my phone dies on me. I don't have anxiety for a dead phone anymore. I can use it to monitor my heart rates, and my physical well being. For me, my health and convenience is worth the price.

If you use your Apple Watch everyday, this is it. My only regret was not buying one soon. I use it for workouts and sleep tracking daily. The watch feels substantial, too.

Yes it's a lot of money for a watch. Yes you can get an iPhone 14, but the build quality is amazing. I saw a tear down of this and it's a very complciated case design made of solid titainium. The flat screen also is more functional than the curved one on the 7/8.

What's the benefit of getting it from Costco than Amazon?

How do you imagine a wrist watch measuring blood pressure?

For those of you who use Apple Watch for sleep tracking, how do you get by with just one watch? The additional battery life of the Ultra sounds nice, but I find myself using two watches (one wearing, other charging) anyway.

People needs to realize that at this price you can get brand new phone and much more…. STOP giving away your money to apple
And you can buy 4 Honda Civics for the price of 1 BMW M5. STOP giving away your money to BMW!

Seriously though, I want it, but I'm nowhere near active enough anymore to be able to justify it...but damn it I want it... Maybe when they release V2 and this drops in price to like $500 or something...

Extra battery life + the faster charging it's real easy with the Ultra.

I charge my Series 7 during my morning and evening ablutions. (Don't worry, it gets cleaned several times a week showering after the gym/pool.) Even as a 41 mm on my ancient Belkin charging stand, it usually hits 100% once a day

Gen 2 might have a new in house screen in it. If so it may even have better battery or brightness. But this is also the lowest price I have ever seen. Debating.

I'm actually suprised it's not $1k. I paid as much for a Series 4 cellular 44mm stainless when it came out. I hated that it needed to be re-charged every day. Tempting at this price

I have a Series 7 that I charge for about 30-45 minutes in the evening while watching TV. Either gets it to a full charge or close enough to make it until the evening the next day.
