I don't think you can play as Solo.

Compatible with other villainous games?

Edit. Nevermind. Not compatible based on quick Google search.

In other words, no you can't use your lightsaber on Maleficent.

EDIT: Although that'd be a pretty cool video game concept. Disney if you're listening, please create a Mortal Kombat/Super SMASH game but with Disney characters!

Yoda thought it would be a hard game to play.

I've heard such a game is in the works. I am not sure whether it's true or if the failure of WB's recent Multiversus will discourage them from pursuing it.
But the House of Mouse will always follow the money.

It's not amazing solo, but I've had a lot of fun solo'ing it.

How is the replay value on this? I read a couple of reviews that said it plays decent for a handful of times, but then doesn't have much replay value after that. Was hoping to hear from someone who owns and has played it a dozen times.

I have this and all other villainous games. It has moderate replay value. My goal is to win with each character and that doesn't happen each time this hits the table. However, once you've done that, you have little desire to return to the game unless you really love it.

I find that this version of villainous is inferior to the main Disney one because it adds a second resource to the game. That second resource makes the game take longer and adds an unnecessary complexity to playing cards. Because of this, you often find yourself trying to dump your hand because that second resource is only generated from certain cards in your deck. That makes you waste too many turns. On the flip side, they add ships to the game which act as an additional location for you to go and come with various benefits.

I get where you're coming from with the resources but I think SW is far better balanced than Villainous proper. My family has a pretty even split win record across the board and every SW game has gone down to the wire at the end where anyone could win within a turn or two. It doesn't seem to matter which character is being used either.

Villainous proper can be very lopsided where you know early on that one player is going to run away with it. And as far as a W-L record, I win probably 80% of the time.

For $20, I'd say it's a no-brainer purchase. Everyone should give it a shot.

They had something sorta like this with Disney Infinity. But they cancelled the online part of the game a few years back.
