Great deal for two 4ah batteries. I'd bite if it was $15 cheaper but that's because I'm already mixed with Ridgid, Ryobi, Bosh, DeWalt and Kobalt

Tip and Trick the Ridgid 4ah batteries are decent. They tend to run a generation behind the latest and greatest but as slow as battery development is the performance is good. The reason I say is you can run them on any brands tools with an adapter for the ridgid battery to the tool whether it's Milwaukee, Dewalt, Makita, or even Ryobi or Bosch. After a few years when the battery is no longer charging, Ridgid's lifetime warranty replaces for a freshly refurbished pack.

This Two for 4ah battery deals for $80 opens a whole new possibilities. I also use them for 12v power supplies for camping and I run them in my kids power wheels.

Mind you an adapter for the battery to the tool is $12 to $20 on Amazon or eBay..

Like so many similar great deals in the past. Odds are it'll come around again if short on cash now.

Good deal but not Max nor 6ah batteries, which are quite rare. (To find those herein, keyword search.)

I buy Ridgid stuff because of it's lifetime warranty...it covers wear and tear and even batteries are covered. Just make sure to register it with Ridgid within 90 days of purchase. Ridgid tool quality seems just as good as Dewalt which I have many tools of and better than Ryobi, Craftsman, Porter Cable and the like.

I think the typical range is Milwaukee is usually ranked #1 with Makita narrowly edging out Dewalt for #2. #4 is most often rigid with the rest being the rest. This is not for all tools as some Ryobi, Kobalt, Craftsman, Bauer, and battery tool brands can and sometimes do have the best performer (as per Project Farm). It mostly depends on the exact tool, but the quality of Milwaukee and Makita are usually the best.

How do you use them for 12v power supplies or in power wheels?

It's just a battery. Most 12v circuits will handle 20v no problem so I just hook them up to power what ever I want. You can use spade connectors to quickly plug them in or I use 3d printed docks that I plug the batteries into as if they are a tool. That dock is then wired to a 12v fused distribution block for powering mainly lights and to charge other devices. I also use 3d printed docks to plug the batteries into for propelling the kid's power wheels. These are wired into a speed controller so I can regulate the amount of pixies being called apon when the pedal is smashed.

That's why I share about using these batteries in other tools. I'm no longer tied to a brand because of their batteries. I look for the best tool for the job and adapt the batteries to that. Team Red, Team Yellow, Team Blue, Team Green, Team Orange, it dosen't matter with an adapter.

So my child's power wheels is using a lead acid battery, if I swap that for one of these, will the power brick that charged the lead acid charge the ridgid battery? Or no because they are lithium?

Also, can you share what fused distribution block you used, I'm not entirely sure I'm picturing it my head correctly.

No, you will use the tool battery charger.

You may not need a speed controller. I started building second hand P.W. for my son when he was about 14 months. The speed controller is essential to keep his cars and trucks slower. As he has gotten better, I have turned it up.

This is the last one I bought. They are all similar.

True. But Ridgid does have lifetime coverage, which is a nice fallback.
