I'm sorry you weren't able to get one.
It's out of my control if Amazon raises the price back up. It was a fantastic deal that didn't last long at $37.39.
Hopefully it will come back.
FWIW, if this does happen to come back.
I owned this pack.
I seriously doubt that I would ever buy one again...unless it were at around this price.
Overall, this appears to be a ridiculously over-engineered pack...but in reality, it has 2 critical weaknesses that are fatal IMO.
Weakness 1....the pack straps will tear out.
Oh yeah, they have girder-size cables for the hood and clips to match....but they do not have anything like that in the straps...where they need it most.
Weakness 2....the warranty is for 1 year. After the strap came apart...carrying a laptop, etc to work, when I reached out to Oakley, they politely advised me of the year warranty and that it had elapsed.
If you are like me, you are getting something like this because you are wanting something that will last like a military-grade pack...but they neglected to reinforce the thing that they needed to reinforce the most.
Now the 511 pack that I bought through a deal from SD...years ago....it is still wearing like iron.

Just FYI
Thanks for your insightful review of this pack. I'm pretty sure it's accurate, but at this price, I didn't mind my purchase.

No, it was just listed at that price at the time of purchase. I guess I got lucky!
