Bought this the other time it was on sale. Didn't read the description carefully enough. Only one display can be used at a time so can't use it for any dual monitor setups. Was very disappointed
4k 30hz.
Boo.
Dual monitor is non existant.
Gets warm, not hot.
I bought it for $36, disconnected from my steam deck a few times while running windows.
Never disconnected from my laptop.
Extremely happy with the purchase, I travel with it. At $20, I would buy it again.

Now I'm hoping can plug this new monoprice into the usb-C port of my Amazon one for my VGA monitor.
Then I can keep them all connected for my laptop on my desk, and I only need to plug into the USB-C and I'm all set with my keyboard, mouse, headphones, and dual monitors.

What is this for? I am not that tech savvy.
These type of docks allow you to do video out (VGA, HDMI, etc if equipped), additional USB A ports, and card reader ports. Because it is powered, you can also use portable hard drives. It can be used with some phones, tablets, laptops with a USB C.
I use a similar model to watch movies from a portable hard drive, and I use the USB A ports to connect my N64 USB controllers because I turned my tablet into a N64 emulator. I use the video out to play on TVs or projector. I travel a lot so a tiny dock like this is nice.
I don't have this specific model. I recommend doing your research/read reviews before buying
There are so many of these "docking stations" on Amazon for around $25 with more updated features. Just be sure to read the reviews about the Ethernet port, that seems to be a common thing to fail.

Boo.
I don't think 4k60hz exist at anywhere near this price. I have the Anker that will do it, but its $60+.
Previous deal on this Monoprice one which I missed but probably good thing as its now lower:

I got one of these back in December for $19.20 (w/tax) and have been very happy with it.
