how is this saw compared to the corded one with the magnesium drive or the dewalt 20v flexvolt version which is my favorite cordless saw

This is Skil not Skilsaw so I would expect it to be pretty low quality. Think somewhere between Black and Decker and Ryobi

Really ? Hmm, there are a few youtube reviews from reputable channels that say they like the saw. Powerful, but not quite up to dewalt flexvolt (most powerful) power but more along the lines of makita rear handle saw power. They also said it feels pro grade. I don't know, maybe your right, but some people who have actually tested the saw seem to think different.

Your opinion may be rooted in some old information and experiences. The new Skil line is supposed to be far better than they have been in the past.
