Just saw this today and after seeing the Southbend deal expire, thought Id post this. This is a 6'6" 2 piece pole and a 5+1 bearing reel on clearance for $5. I know many hate clearance at Walmart so just go on if thats you. Hope all good luck finding this. It is this price around the Kingman area stores but it showed the normal price in 2 other states around me. Thanks all those who post .

I've seen the j3rk0ffs around here see these deals.... buy them up and then try to sell on marketplace for 5$ lower than the price before the sale. I hope they get stuck with all of them. Don't mind paying a bit more, but they're not gunna make your fortune on me.

Anyway. This is a great deal. These are what I'd give my daughters friends that we take fishing. Let them have them after that first fish. Good luck hunting!

Does anyone know who makes Ozark Trail reels? I've seen a few forums suggest Daiwa, but that looks a lot like a Pflueger. I'd jump for $5 for sure.

I usually don't mess with anything Ozark Trail, but at prices like this they make great river rods or presents for kids looking to give fishing a try.

Yes of course, and the person is illustrating their knowledge of the free market by stating they hope those people get stuck with them.

Walmart is selling these at a low price because the market dictates the original price point is too high.
