I work in the industry--this price is lower than dealer wholesale. Specialized is ridiculously overstocked right now and is in the process of an inventory dump. As soon as they stabilize what they have on hand these sales will disappear.
Watch for barely used bikes, people still need to empty their garage of Covid bikes that were used twice!

Sweet! I own a Specialized Allez back from 2011. I am interested in finally upgrading and now seems like a good time. Do you know where or how I can get one of their new bikes for a decent price?
Thanks for the post! Does anyone know what the alloy one weighs? It's less and I'm not a huge fan of carbon.. Are these the same except alloy/carbon materials? I see it's on pretty good sale as well... https://www.specialized.com/us/en...222-199426

If it were me, I'd still wait it out a bit. Prices are just starting to come down, but still very inflated...even with the consideration of inflation. However, if you still want to take the leap, shop a few local bike stores and see what they can offer. Usually much better than what you'll find online and better piece of mind if anything goes wrong. Another factor to consider is that many brands, even Specialized, have been dealing with quality issues. Research what you want thoroughly before you leap. A great bike can last a lifetime but a badly built one will just leave you with regret.

My 2 local dealers are going to have mega sales on complete bikes after Easter which kicks off our mt bike season (although we ride year around) here in N Cal.

Any hope for Epic Evo discounts? Seems all the deals have been in the trail bike category.
