the biking industry is one of the biggest shams out there. These companies that sell their $14,000 mountain bikes (Santa Cruz heckler) manufacture their frames in Taiwan using minimum wage laborers then ship their frames over to the us. They then proudly place their 'handmade in the USA' sticker on the frame. I think that is the only part made in the USA, the sticker… Nevermind, that sticker is also made in Taiwan!!
People happily pay the premium prices thinking they have an ultra high end product that was handmade by some American dude with a handlebar mustache, flat brimmed hat, flannel button down and cargo shorts that lives/breathes bicycles and now has a living wage to support a family. In reality, it was my sweaty uncle in Taiwan that sleeps on a bamboo mat and eats sticky rice for dinner.
But if you are aware of any actual "made in USA" fraud as you as allege, then report it.

I was "looking" for one too, but I settled with a slightly more aggressive, but IMHO trying to occupy the same space, Rocky Mountain Element C.
You can get some -25~30% deals on the MY22 Rocky Mountains from retailers that are making room for MY23. Since MY23 have a slightly higher MSRP, you can calculate the % off for "the same new bike" as higher than 30%
