Because the brand is for skinny people. Not like in a mean way but there is a type of person that needs tiny ass waste & long legs. Think tall & lanky like Tony Hawk. (not a sizing professional, just a grown up fat kid who knew things didn't fit right but my brother in law still loves it).

I like that they list how long the shorts are (outseam). That's very helpful. Would also be helpful if they listed inseam.

Also, I really don't understand why size S should be the same length as size XL. It might fit fine on the XL person but down past the knee on the S person. Inseams should be adjusted with waist size to some extent.
